Topo Chico is a delicious sparkling mineral water known for it’s taste and BITE. My favorite thing about Topo Chico is the carbonic bite it provides, so I recommend carbing and serving this at 35psi or even higher! Below is a list of the ingredients needed to mimic the exact water profile of Topo Chico:

Topo Chico Clone (5 Gallon)

Ingredients
5.15 grams of gypsum
0.85 grams of calcium chloride
1.10 grams of of Epsom salt
0.85 grams of magnesium chloride – search Amazon
0.85 grams of canning salt – search Amazon
0.90 grams of slaked lime – search Amazon
0.95 grams of baking soda – search Amazon
0.90 grams of chalk

Weigh out your minerals and then mix it into your cold RO or distilled water. For best results, we recommend that you mix your water BEFORE carbonating. We force carbonate and serve our water at 35psi.

This recipe is intended to be used with reverse osmosis or distilled water. Adding these minerals to your city or well water WILL NOT RESULT in an accurate Topo Chico clone due to the existing minerals in your water supply.

Homemade kegerators and freezers converted to storing and dispensing homebrew allow homebrewers to exercise their creative muscle. Breaking down the function of the homebrew keezer, there are three main categories: 1) Providing CO2 to the beer, 2) Keeping the beer cold, and 3) Serving the beer. For sure, the category of serving the beer is where all the bling comes in, with different style taps and fancy tap handles. But this review is about some gear for the less flashy side- providing CO2 to the beer.

BLC Liquid Line Cleaner

This Alkaline based beer line cleaner is excellent in mineral deposits and soiling from beer lines, beer faucets and other items. It can be used with all types of cleaning equipment, including manual and mechanical beer line cleaners. If you are a homebrewer you can push it through using a keg! This product was developed in 1966 and was the first approved and widely used liquid line cleaner. It is still used by restaurants, bars and breweries today.

Works in cold or hot water and quickly dissolves.
Non-hazardous and safe to ship
You only need 1/2 ounce in a quart of water
Can be used not only in beer lines but also for wort chillers, HERMS coils, faucets, Jockey Box Coils and plates, kegerators and other items
To use just add 1/2 of BLC per quart of water and run solution in line. Keep solution in line for at lease 15 minutes by stopping flow or circulating. Use clean water to push product out of lines and rinse the lines.

Blue and Green are meant to be remembered by “Blue for Beer” and “Green for Gas”. All options are made from FDA rated silicone.
