Why would you want a FoodSaver for homebrewing?
Vacuum sealers are indispensable for storing hops.  You can save money by getting in on bulk hop buys.  Use your vacuum sealer to break these up and to preserve freshness.  You can also store specialty grains in vacuum bags or using the mason jar attachment.  Other uses include: storing base grains, partial dry yeast packs (see the tips page) and storing and preserving other beer ingredients.

Great Deal: FoodSaver V2244 – $62.65 Shipped

I received an email from FoodSaver about two sales they are having 20% Off FoodSaver Bags and 25% Off Select FoodSaver Vacuum Sealers.

That caused me to do a bit of price checking and I realized that the FoodSaver V2244 via Amazon has dropped to $62.65.  That includes shipping.  It has recently sold for as much as $79.99.  You have to go back more than a year to get a lower price.  Looking back on HBF, we’ve posted about this vacuum sealer several times, going back to 2012.  I can find only one lower price.  This is a great deal.

I’ve purchased these exact bags from this seller.  They shipped fast and the quality is very good.  Pint size is great for hops.  I typically seal 2 ounces in these and have a lot of extra space.  That extra space means I’ll be able to re-use these.
