check labelpeelers.com They have pounds of citra leaf hops for 19.51 right now. Shipping has always been reasonable when I’ve ordered. Single ounces are just over $2.00, so you could get a pound for a better price than the deal posted and have it packaged in ounce packs. Chris–while every deal isn’t the greatest deal, this site is called “homebrewfinds”. You may want to check some other shops before posting–you post info from labelpeelers all the time. I guess I wouldn’t consider the post a “find” in my opinion…

I need to come up with a page that addresses these types of issue for easy reference. Right at the top of every page “Scouring the web for homebrewing deals and finds”. In my book, a deal isn’t always a find. in this case, I checked 7 suppliers, not the two that have been mentioned. If you find a great deal or a find… I’d suggest… that you send me a tip.

Chris Brewer, no need to get butthurt. Most of the deals you post aren’t that great; some of them are. Most people don’t mind taking the bad with the good. Eric Branchaud and TBrew are just trying to be helpful by letting others know that this really isn’t a good deal.

Was that an effort to console me? 🙂 You’re making a good point though… it’s not my aim to have every post by a great deal.

Exactly. Some deals are better than others; this one’s not for me, but there are tons of other deals to be had, so on to the next deal!

Did you see where, I said this was a great deal? I did not say this was a great deal. I did say that whole pounds were available when I had checked 7 other shops and could not find whole lbs. Along with the fact that the places with single ounces available would add up to more if you were to buy and entire lb.

FYI – Yakima Valley Hops has pounds of Citra for $21.99 right now and 8oz bags for $12.99
