Specs and such follow, but I'll give you a few of my impressions.
I like the quick response time. It's not as fast as the blazing 3 second response time of the much lauded Thermapen, also manufactured by ThermoWorks. But, it's also less than a quarter of the price. In my book 5-6 seconds is great.
I also like the long probe and the fact that only 1/4" needs to be submerged.
The water resistance is re-assuring. You can put this through a dishwasher (up to 190 deg F) if you'd like. I don't do that, but it's also nice not having to worry about getting this soaked during use or cleanup.
One thing to note... this does not have auto-shutoff. I learned that the hard way. If you know about it... it's no big deal. What you can do is... shut it off, and replacement batteries very inexpensive.
Overall, I highly recommend this thermometer for feature set, performance and price. It is a Top Find!

Not quite as accurate as the Thermapen. From the ThermoWorks website. The Thermapen is +/- 0.7 deg F. The RT600C is +/- 1.8 deg F.
