About the Tare Function: Tare is a necessary feature in my book.  It allows you to get the net weight of the item you’re trying to weigh.  To use, place your empty container on the scale and hit the tare button.  This zeros out the scale.  Add what you’re trying to way to the container and whammo… you’re seeing only the net weight of the item.

This has a higher capacity (2 kg/4.4 lbs) than a lot of the scales that I see that have a similar resolution (.1 grams).  This would be good for hops, specialty grains and other ingredients.
