There are several equipment purchases that I look back on and say… I’m really glad I got that, it’s made a big difference.  High quality, gallon size pitchers, are one of those purchases.  I went from a mish-mash of too small plastic pitchers, found around the house, that bent under the weight of wort, dripped and leached who knows what into my beer to two, large, purpose built pitchers!  What a difference.

I use these sorts of pitchers for vorlaufing/recirculating, topping up and transferring water, collecting wort from my mash tun, holding utensils on brew day and more.

I’ve got this and use it when brewing. It works well, but the handle is terribly sharp. I wrapped the handle in a whole lot of duct tape and now it’s much, much better. It insulates from heat that way too. My wife has actually stolen it to use as a vessel to water our Christmas tree this year.
