Registering for the National Homebrew Competition

To Enter the Competition

  • Confirm your Member ID, it’s on your member card, and used to register
  • Select the first round site of your choice and click “Register Now”
    • Receiving and judging dates vary by location
    • First round site availability is first come, first served
    • When a first round site has reached capacity a “Site Full” banner will be posted on the website
  • Pro Tips
  • Review the 2024 Style Guidelines and choose the best fit for your entry. As competition organizers, we aren’t able to advise which category to enter, but you may reference the guidelines to make your best selection
  • Registration is hosted on the Beer Awards Platform (BAP). If you’ve registered for a competition in BAP before, you’ll just need to log in to register for NHC. New to BAP or forgot your credentials? Use the “Sign up” or “Reset forgotten password” prompts on the login page.

ID Cards are Back!

Beginning in January 2024, American Homebrewers Association membership cards will be mailed to annual, three-year, and lifetime members who live in the United States.

Follow these 5 steps to log in to your member profile and opt in to the membership card mailing:

  • Click on Account in the top right corner, then select Log In.
  • Log in using the email associated with your membership.
    • Need help logging in? Select “Forgot Password”
  • Under the My Account menu in the top right corner, select My Profile.
  • Select the Edit Details box
  • Check the box under Physical AHA Member Card Opt-In and confirm your mailing address, then click the Save button.
  • In January 2024, watch your mailbox for your membership card. Go forth and enjoy the perks of membership!
