Are They Food Grade?

I received this question from an HBF Reader [8 Ways to Connect with HBF] and thought it was worth doing some digging.

I asked: Is this filter food grade?

Answer I received: Yes, the filters are made of food grade materials.

I followed up with: So, regardless of operating pressure it is not safe for food above 125?

After some back and forth the VacMotion representative said that at lower pressures the filter materials can see see temps up to 180 deg F.

Considering all of this, these, these seem best suited pre-boil or post-chiller related activities.

Also, something interesting…. I don’t want to say anything specific, but it is quite curios how similar the Bouncer at VacMotion Filters look.
