This controller can control both a heating and cooling device.  Alternatively, it can control a heating or a cooling device.

Use to control fermentation or kegerator temperatures. This is a great controller. Check out my Hands on Review

Heads Up — I just had a third unit fail on me last weekend. Almost froze and lost $800 worth of wine!

I originally bought three of these between 2016 and 2018. One keeps my kegerator at 37F, one keeps my fermenter inside a mini-fridge at 68F, and one keeps my chest freezer at 55F for beer and wine storage.

The first one failed after about a year with “Err” in the display.

The second one failed after about a year by running the mini-fridge constantly until it almost froze my fermenting beer. Even though it was still reporting 68F, the actual temp inside the fridge was 34F when I discovered the problem.

The third one failed after about a year in the same way as the second one. Last night I came out to the chest freezer and even though it reported 55F, the plastic cup that the temp probe was in was a frozen block of ice. I lost several cans of craft beer, and almost lost $900 worth of wine! The bottom bottles were 19F.

While the seller is good at replacing units that fail within the 1-year warranty, I can no longer trust nor rely on these temp controllers.

I ended up purchasing a Johnson Controls “Penn A421” unit which is industrial grade.

Johnson Controls A421ABG-02C A421 Series Electronic Temperature Control with Pre Wired Power Cord, -40 to 212 Degree F Temperature Range
