We would like you to know in 2016 these Northern Brewer and Midwest Supplies were invested in by AB/Inbev’s Disruptive Growth Group.  See our announcement regarding that and a large list of alternative independently owned shops – here.  As a result, in 2016, we stopped posting new content for both shops.  Tips related to these shops largely stopped soon after.  In 2018 we noticed an uptick in reader tips for these shops, that steadily increased throughout the year.  Now we regularly receiving tips for both shops  —  A Personal Note: My name is Chris and I’m the person that started and runs Homebrew Finds.  I have a few regular contributors and I get help with tips and ideas from homebrewers like you, but other than that it’s just me running the site.  From me, as a person, to you, it gets old having this discussion again and again as I receive tips for these shops  —  In late 2018, after seeing this change in sentiment, we conducted a poll of our readers.  The majority of the homebrewers that are a part of Homebrew Finds want to see content from Northern Brewer and Midwest Supplies.  As of this point, we are running limited content from these shops on a trial basis.  That may increase over time or it may stop altogether.  We’ll always link to our general “great deals” section that will point you to lots of other shops and alternatives.  If you want more, less or none of this content or if you have thoughts on this subject either way, we’d love to hear from you.  Contact Us and let us know what you’re thinking.
