Description: This economical stir plate from StirStarter is great to have if you are making large yeast starters (up to 5 liters), and comes at a very economical price. The RPMs can be adjusted with the built in voltage regulator (aka the little knob on the front) to create a good looking vortex, but the power is limited in such a way that it won’t “throw” the stir bar out of whack. The 5L stir plate measures 8.5″ x 6″, and comes with a 1″ x 5/16″ stir bar with a “keeper” magnet (helps to hold the stir bar in place when pitching).
