Great, thanks for the response. When you say add a week for kegging, do you mean age in the keg for one week before serving? My new standard schedule is 4 weeks primary then keg and serve but I know this is a fairly big beer. Great site btw, check it daily.
First… thanks for the nice words! I meant add a week to let it carbonate in the keg. My schedule was… one week-ish vigorous fermentation… one week-ish dry hopping/conditioning, two weeks cold crashing/conditioning. Followed a week in the keg to further condition/carbonate. The picture of the finished beer was right at 5 weeks after brew day. But… that’s me… Don’t conform your processes to what I do. Trust me.. I’m around me. I know what I’m like. 🙂
Awesome, thanks again!
Did you dry hop in primary when you brewed this? Also how long brew day to glass did this take you? I am thinking of picking up the extract kit and trying my hand at it.
I did dry hop in the primary. Looking at dates on pictures, it was just a one month from brew day to kegging. So, add a week or so if you keg and a couple weeks if you bottle. Having said that, I could crashed this for, probably, about a week longer than I normally would have, if my schedule would have permitted. So… I’m going to say plan on 3-4 weeks from brewing to kegging/bottling.
