A while back these sold out. After that, they came back in stock, but not at the sale price, at their regular price of $119.99. They just went on sale for $75. This is a great deal!
I have this keg (this is my photo). I picked it up primarily to use with my PicoBrew Zymatic. That system produces 2.5 gallon batches so I thought having one of these would be dandy. My initial impressions are… that this has all the quality of the 5 gallon version – Hands on Review.
Double rubber handles are generally preferable to single metal strap handles – you have… two handles vs one that means they are easier to grab and move and they allow the keg to be easily inverted for draining and drying.
2.5 Gallon kegs fit nicely in a 5 gallon bucket full of ice. They are also nice for splitting 5 gallon batches, serving homebrew on the go and small space kegging.
I have the 5 gallon version of this keg (See: Review) and like it very much.
