Now for the first time home brewers making a batch from malt extract have access to the toasted bread, nutty, malt flavors that have made Crisp Maris Otter malt famous. We love it in Pale Ales, Browns, Reds, Porters, Stouts, Bitters, Scotch Ales, and even special IPA’s! But feel free to use it any beer where complex malt flavors are appropriate. This extract will produce a pale to light amber beer by itself, if you wish to make darker beers you can steep crystal malts, roasted malts, or specialty malts before adding this malt extract.
