If you don’t have a vacuum sealer, now is a great time to pick one up as bulk hop buys are on the horizon. The 2013 hop crop has been harvested and is being processed. That means 2012 crop close outs and 2013 hops becoming available.
Why would you want a Vacuum Sealer for homebrewing?
Vacuum sealers are indispensable for storing hops. You can save money by getting in on bulk hop buys. Use your vacuum sealer to break these up and to preserve freshness. You can also store specialty grains in vacuum bags. Other uses include: storing base grains, partial dry yeast packs (see the tips page) and storing and preserving other beer ingredients.
