I came across a relatively new homebrew shop in the Detroit area recently- The Supply House at Cadillac Straits. They opened in 2018 as a brewery with a homebrew shop attached, in Madison Heights, MI. I found them as I was searching for where I could purchase Imperial yeast without having to chance shipping and ice packs. So it’s a local option if you’re after Imperial Yeast like I was. The other standout for them is great prices on sacks of grain. They offer a 28% discount when buying by the full sack. So for Briess 2-row Brewer’s Malt, a 50 lb sack works out to be $55.08… $1.53/lb x 50 lbs = 76.50 – 21.42 (28%).

They don’t do shipping on big items, but if you’re within driving distance, the grain prices are great.
