Speidel Fermentation Tanks - All Sizes Available for Pre-Order!

All sizes of Speidel fermentation vessels are available for pre-order right now!

These are very popular and they sell out quickly.  When they go away, they are gone for a long time.

If you're interested, I'd suggest hopping on this right now.

Some Benefits of Speidel Fermentation Tanks:
  • High quality, German manufactured.
  • Made of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
  • Heavy duty and much thicker than traditional plastic carboys
  • Oversized top opening makes for easy cleaning.
  • Integrated spigot
  • All connections have o-rings to insure you have no liquid or gas leaks.
  • Integrated handles for easily moving these around.
  • Unlike traditional carboys, these will not shatter.
  • High density construction is highly resistant to oxygen ingress, making these suitable for longer term (up to 12 month) use.
  • Up to 31.7 gallons
I'm a happy user of a Speidel Fermenter!  In fact, I have a pale ale bubbling away in mine right now.

  1. What are the advantages of this fermentation vessel over a fermenter bucket? I'd be interested in hearing thoughts from people who have owned both. It very much looks the same.

    1. The bucket costs less and it was not made by zee Germans. Thus it sucks.

  2. Does it come with all the gaskets, spigots and air locks?

  3. Is the 5.3 gal really 5.3 total? Does it leave enough head space for a vigorously fermenting full 5 gallon batch?

    1. I think it is 5.3 total. I use my 5.3 for small batch BIAB batches. If you're using this for a 5 gallon batch, you'd want to bump up to the 7.9 gallon model.
