  1. Felt a need to chime in on this one. I used this supplier recently to purchase materials necessary to build a 50' immersion chiller using 1/2 od tubing. I'm very happy with the final outcome: I spent less than I would have for a pre-built chiller with smaller diameter tubing (like the NY brew supply link above with only 3/8 od tubing), and I was able to customize the size exactly to my boil kettle, which increases efficiency. Also note that if you aren't afraid to solder your connections, you can build a chiller that does not use compression fitting or worm clamps to secure tubing, both of which will leak eventually. I'm not aware of a pre-built chiller that uses soldered fittings.
