Speidel 20L and 30L Fermenters Finally Back in Stock!

The 3.2 Gallon version came back in stock a few days ago and sold out in 2.5 hours.  This is marked as a seasonal/special order item.  If history repeats itself, this won't be around long.  If you're interested, I would act now.

I purchased the 20L version of this in November of 2011.  I posted my first impressions then and in relatively short order every Speidel plastic fermenter was sold out.  The 12L version is finally back in stock.

I have used my Speidel fermenter extensively.  I really, really like it.  It has a quality heavy duty construction (HDPE), and all ports have gaskets.

Key Features:
  • Heavy duty HDPE construction is durable and resists oxygen transfer. None of the risks of working with glass.
  • Small footprint makes them easy to store - take better advantage of the space you have to dedicate to wine & beer making.
  • Built-in handles make these tanks easy to move, even when full.
  • Large lid opening makes them easy to clean by hand - say goodbye to your carboy brush!
  • All ports seal with gaskets and the vessel can be fully sealed for long-term storage.
  • Includes a spigot. 12L model does not include an airlock.
  • Designed and manufactured in Germany by Speidel, the makers of our legendary commercial wine tanks

EDIT:  Both sizes have sold out.  I'm hoping that isn't this year's entire supply and that more will be added to inventory.  Want a notification if these come back in stock?  Email HBF.  If you're interested in other sizes, let me know, and I'll shoot you an email when those come back into stock.

  1. If you got the 'sold out' info straight from a customer support person that would obviously be the case. If not then I suggest anyone wanting to order one of these call to check on availability. I logged in and got the same out of stock page that has been up for more than 6 months. I clicked on the link in a recent back in stock email that I got from them and that link continues to say in stock.
Call and be sure...........browser cookies and whatnot ????........
