I typically get my tanks refilled at a local gas station.  The cost is about the same but I get a full 20 lbs instead of the 15 lbs that are in Blue Rhino tanks.  That's a big savings.

Tip - Gorilla Tape

I'm a big fan of Gorilla Duct Tape.  I find it handy for a number of things including taping a temperature probe to the side of my fermenter.  One thing to note, this stuff has sticking power like no other.

"Super Faucet" from More Beer - $55.95

I'm about to keg a Belgian Ale that will require high carbonation levels.  This reminded me of one of my favorite brewing items... the "Super Faucet" from More Beer.  This faucet has an adjustable resistance screw on it that allows you to dial up or down the resistance of the faucet so that you can poor a highly carbonated beer without excessive foam.

Ball Lock Quick Disconnect Replacement Parts

In  a previous post I blogged about replacement o-rings.  One of those o-rings was the internal quick disconnect o-ring for ball lock quick disconnects.  By the way, that o-ring is not OEM, but it does work well.  Other than that part, I've never found a source for quick disconnect replacement parts.  Until now that is.  CHI Company has the full line of CM Becker replacement parts at reasonable prices.  These are for commonly used CM Becker quick disconnects.

Comparing Major Online Homebrew Suppliers

I'm considering the purchase of a Better Bottle setup for fermentation.  I currently use a 10 gallon keg, which works great for most beers.  That is, unless, you're using lots and lots of dry hops.  That's a story for another time.

Anyway, I like the racking arm feature available with Better Bottles.  I wouldn't be giving up the keg mind you.  Just using the Better Bottle for heavily dry hopped beers.

I thought I would compare the major online homebrew shops for total shipped price.  I was surprised with the results.  The sites that came to my mind were- Northern Brewer, More Beer, Midwest Supplies and Austin Homebrew.  Am I missing any?
