Top Secret Hops at Northern Brewer

New varieties that didn't arrive in time for the print deadline of our spring catalogs, so readers of this blog (and followers of NB on Facebook and Twitter) are the first to hear it:

Brewers Gold - Typical alpha: 8.5-9.5%. Resiny and spicy bittering hop with a fruity blackcurrant aroma. Use in a variety of beers from English ales to German styles and farmhouse ales. Pellets available in 1 oz and 8 oz.

Falconer's Flight - A proprietary blend of PNW varieties from HopUnion, including Citra™, Simcoe®, and Sorachi Ace along with experimental hops and numerous others. Perfect for any Northwest-style IPA. Distinct tropical, citrus, floral, lemon and grapefruit tones.Currently 10.5% aa. Pellets available in 1 oz and 8 oz.

Mt. Rainier - A Pacific Northwest hop with diverse parentage, Mt. Rainier has a Hallertauer-like character but with relatively high alpha acids and aromas of licorice and citrus. Typical alpha: around 6%. Pellets available in 1 oz and 8 oz.
